Don't go in here expecting NY or even Baltimore-food-truck level food taste and you'll be perfectly satisfied. The food isn't as savory or fresh as some competitors, but I'm still a fan. The store is clean, service is quick and amicable enough, and the food is good. Some other reviewers have complained that it's $8-$10 for a platter, but that's a perfectly reasonable price. You get rice, lettuce, tomato, your choice(s) of meat, some other toppings, and even a few slices of pita.
The restaurant itself is an OK place to sit down and eat-- there's plenty of seating but it's nothing special. Halal Guys is a positive addition to Columbia's quick carry-out scene and I hope it stays. -

Finally made it to Halal Guys and so excited they are now in Maryland!
Couldn't choose between the falafels or the spicy lamb bowls... so I got both (I got the falafels to go!).
For starters the place is super clean and the staff is friendly!
There was a few people in front of me but the line went by quickly and the food was very fresh and tasty! Even better the falafels were made to order (it did take an extra 4 minutes but worth the wait)!
Make sure to try the white sauce and the red, but watch out how much red sauce, it's SPICY! -

The first time we tried to go here, it turned out that they weren't actually open for business yet (even though they somehow already had a couple reviews, so that was confusing). We just tried it again a couple weeks ago and were a little skeptical walking in. It was about 12pm and there wasn't a single person in there, so that seemed like a bad sign for their food. But we were already there so we went in anyway, and I'm so glad we did. As soon as we started ordering, the line started forming and the line actually never stopped while we were there eating! We definitely beat the lunch rush and we are so happy about that. I ordered falafel, which I had to wait 15 minutes for since they needed to cook more (and that's fine with me, fresh is always better!). They give you a generous amount of the white sauce if you say you want extra, so be careful of that. The top of my dish was completely covered in it. And you actually don't need to even ask for extra of the sauces because they have it all in a mini fridge on the side anyway so you could take it to your table and add more as you eat anyway. They even have the barbecue sauce on the side as well if you want that.
I made the mistake of asking the employee for more of the hot sauce even though he warned me that it was very spicy (and even then, he was very scarce with adding more which I'm super thankful for once I actually tasted my food). I typically love spice, but this was legit VERY spicy. I ended up having to add a bunch more of the white sauce even though my food was already covered in it. But I was hoping it would balance out the flavor. Next time I'll just ask for the normal amount and add more on my own! They also gave me a generous amount of falafel. I would hands down eat here again! There used to be a halal truck at my college that I'd love to eat at, and I'm so glad I found one out here that I can frequent now as well. -

We typically go to The Halal Guys in Catonsville so when I found out this was open closer to us; I was elated. It's located across the Columbia Mall and offers free parking in the garage as well as free street parking.
When you order you go up to the counter; tell them what you'd like and then you can add more toppings as you walk down the assembly line.
ORDER:
Combo Platter - This delicious entree comes with rice, lettuce, tomatoes, chicken and beef.
They offer a variety of fountain and bottle drinks. Don't forget to get yourself baklava. Ugh I was disappointed I was too full to get one. Next time!
Extra sauce? Yes, please! They have a mini refrigerator at the fountain drink station that houses bottles of sauce to fulfill your extra sauce needs.
The service was excellent and the staff were very polite.
DoorDash Alert! They are on DoorDash (win win for all)! We definitely plan on coming back numerous times. -

If you ever got Halal guys in NYC on the streets for a small cart, welcome to the full sized addition. It's just like that. The food is amazing and now don't have to wait to go to NYC to get my fix. If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out.
